Hi there, I’m Jascinta.

I’m a Senior Paralegal in Best Wilson Buckley’s Ipswich office.

I joined the BWB team in 2019, originally in the firm’s Brisbane office before relocating to Ipswich. Prior to joining the team, I worked in a top-tier law firm in the Brisbane CBD working as a legal secretary to one of the family law team’s most senior lawyers.

My role as a Paralegal is a busy and varied one, but I’m ultimately responsible for day-to-day file management to ensure we’re reaching a resolution for our clients as quickly as possible. To me, being a Paralegal means being prepared and organised to support our lawyers with whatever they need. It’s my job to make their lives easier, which in turn makes our clients’ lives easier as well. No task is too big or too small – it’s all equally important in ensuring our clients’ best interests are being looked after at all times. Every day, every file, and every individual I work with is entirely different and unique, and there is always something new to experience and learn.

Why family law?

I love having a positive impact in the lives of so many families. It can be heartbreaking seeing what some of our clients have had to go through, but being there to show them that they are not alone and are in fact supported by so many sets of safe hands, and then working with them towards an outcome which is in the best interests of their family unit and situation, is just so rewarding. The team (or more fittingly, family) at BWB is made up of such a special group of people who all share the same core beliefs, and who are all ultimately here for the same reason: you.
